It wasn't a final outcome of any sort, just an example of how it could be used, potentially about the two O's, symbolising the history of our previous Kings and Queens.
The crown's an interesting thing to research, but other than being 'A symbol of Authority, Power, Victory and Immortality.', isn't it also the representation of Her Majesty The Queen, such as the back of a Strongbow label etc.
I'm a final year Graphic Design student from Sheffield. For my Graduation Project, I'm 'Branding London' to coincide with the 2012 Olympics and England's 2010 World Cup success(slightly premature), perfect timing for a new start after the recent global recession. Please feel free to comment and give feedback.

The colours seem to work well.
Perhaps more of a navy blue?
Its a tough brief and have seen a few other peoples efforts. Good luck.
